Kat has over 15 years experience in the events industry, as a professional musician and events coordinator having been involved in the organisation of events ranging from private parties to large scale festivals.

 

She is the host and producer of the chart topping She’s At The Wheel Vanlife Podcast, the UK’s first ever solo female Vanlife podcast, which continues to inspire and empower women to go on their own adventures.

 

Kat is an advocate for solo female travel having backpacked solo around the world. She has flown in a rickety plane over Everest, picked fruit under Mount Fuji, ridden sled dogs in Alaska and spent a birthday at the Taj Mahal!

 

Kat is proud to be part of the events team at Vanlife Festival, the most talked about Vanlife event of the summer! As Event Talks Manager, it is her job to source, liaise with and coordinate speakers for the event.

Kat is passionate about health and wellbeing and is currently studying CPCAB Counselling Skills Level 2 in order to become a fully qualified counsellor. She uses her counselling skills to run She's At The Wheel Vanlife Retreats safely and ethically.

 

She is a qualified Outdoor First Aider and all She’s At The Wheel events are fully insured.

 

In her green hair days, Kat was a professional musician, playing all over Devon and Cornwall as well as entertaining people on the streets of Plymouth for over 15 years. Realising that she likes going to bed early, she decided to jack in the gig scene and focus just on busking. She can still be found in the summer strumming away on the streets of Abingdon, Plymouth, Bury St Edmunds and Salisbury to name but a few.
